ABOUT CHAUTAUQUA AREA
We are located in the extreme Southwest corner of New York State. Chautauqua Lake is approximately 15 miles South East of Lake Erie. Chautauqua Lake is 20 miles long. At one end of the lake we have the City of Jamestown and the other end we have Mayville the County Seat.
There are some great recreational opportunities in Chautauqua County just to name a few -hiking and biking on the county public trail systems. -fishing Bass (large and small Mouth) Muskie, boating, canoeing and we have some of the best golf courses within 15 minutes of Magnolia and of course all the winter sports like snowmobiling, ice fishing and skiing.
While your here you must visit the famous Chautauqua Institution founded in 1874 it is hosts to many educational and cultural programs. This magnificent place is only 2 miles from Magnolia Lodge.
